The A.N.R. program StoQ is glad to announce a special two weeks summer school to be held from July 11th to July 22nd, 2016, in the Escandille center, Autrans, France.

Here is the detailed information on the summer school:
Much time and many facilities will be offered for the researchers to have time to work on their own, or to collaborate with others. Several rooms with black boards will be available for small groups to work together.

Getting there (and away)

Information on road itineraries is easy to find online. Below we only discuss public transportation.
To travel from Lyon to Grenoble you can travel by bus (cheaper) or train (more comfortable). In any case, departure will be from the Lyon Part-Dieu station, and arrival will be at the same place in Grenoble. Here are links for information on buses and for information on trains.

To travel from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport to Grenoble, you can use shuttle buses from the airport. All information is available on this page (to find out about times from the airport, download «horaires aller», to find out about times to the airport, download «horaires retour»).

To travel from Grenoble to Autrans, it is possible to use public transportation, starting from the bus and train stations, as well as other stops in Grenoble. The trip requires changing bus at Villard de Lans, and the total running time is roughly an hour. Information on times can be found on the Transisère website. The relevant points of departure and arrival are «GARES-GRENOBLE» and «LE VILLAGE-AUTRANS». Alternatively, you might want to download the timetables for bus 5100 (from Grenoble to Villard de Lans) and for bus 5120 (from Villard de Lans to Autrans).

Shuttle buses: We will arrange shuttle buses on the first and last days of the summer school, and regret not to be able to offer more. The shuttle buses for arrival in the center will leave from the Grenoble train station on Sunday, July 10th at 3.30pm and 6.30pm. The bus driver will wait for you inside the station with a sign.

Another option is taxis. The fare from Grenoble to l'Escandille should be between 80 euros and 110 euros depending on the day and time. Taxis can be found at the train station, or called e.g. at 04.76.54.42.54.

From the center of Autrans to l'Escandille is a twenty minutes walk according to Google Maps. In case you need a lift, let us know in advance and we will send the center's minivan to meet you.
At l'Escandille

All talks, meals, accomodation and social activities will be at l'Escandille. Several rooms with black boards will be available for small groups to work together. In addition, the center offers a swimming pool, a squash court, a gym, as well as a bar.
Around l'Escandille

L'Escandille is located in the beautiful Vercors mountains. Many hikes (long or short) are possible from the center. In addition, the village offers a few bars and restaurants, a few grocery stores, a pharmacy, a news stand and bookstore, some banks, a post office and a small cinema.
