Some details on  the scientific program

The summer school consists of three parts. The biggest item  is that of main lectures,
five following directly the Demazure-Grothendieck's seminar  and two more advanced
lectures.
We  recommend as background  the theory of linear algebraic groups over an algebraically
closed fields (books by  Borel, Humphreys, Springer, ...) and/or  the knowledge of the foundations of
the theory of  group schemes (books by  Demazure-Gabriel, Jantzen, Waterhouse,...).
Furthermore, Demazure's thesis presents the third volume of SGA3 (except XXVI).

There will be two additional lectures by  B. Conrad on the unipotent algebraic groups in positive
characteristic (after Tits).

The second step consists in examples and other topics seen in the SGA framework. It concerns
the following topics: classical group,  Borel-de Siebenthal's theorem, unipotent group schemes,
Hochschild-Mostow's representability theorem.....

The summer school will end with a "mini conférence"  whose first invited  speakers are : Ofer  Gabber, P. Cartier,
P.-H. Chaudouard,  B. Conrad, M. Demazure,  O. Gabber, B. Klingler, A. Pianzola, A. Stavrova,   W. van der Kallen, Xu Fei.
