• Random matrices, quantum and non-commutative probability : Free and non-commutative probability. Quantum information theory. Random matrices (large dimension phenomena, topological expansions).

• Stochastic processes : Brownian motion, pseudo-processes associated with PDEs of order larger than 2. Stochastic differential and partial differential equations. Optimal control. Financial mathematics. Simulation.

Statistics

Mathematical physics

• Algebraic, combinatorial and geometric methods in Field theory : Algebraic structures in gauge theories, renormalization in field theory over curved and non-commutative space-time geometries, combinatorial and probabilistic aspects in quantum gravity.

• Non-commutative geometry and aperiodic systems : K-theory and cyclic cohomology, indice theorems. Applications of non-commutative geometry in physics. Topological quantification, topological insulators and aperiodic systems.

• Analysis of quantum mechanics, spectral theory : Spectral theory and diffusion theory in quantum mechanics.

• Probability and Statistics Seminar. : This seminar is co-organized by the PSPM team and by the probability group of UMPA, ENS Lyon. Organizers : Oriane Blondel and Xinxin Chen. On Thursdays, at 2pm, Fokko du Cloux room, Bât. Braconnier, Doua or room 435, ENS Lyon.

• Probability working seminar. On Thursdays, at 3.30 pm, every two weeks, after the regular seminar.

• Hypathie Seminar. Co-organized with ENS Lyon and Marseille, twice or three times a year. Two speakers give each two talks on a given theme.

• Lyon Statistical Meetings. The aim of these meetings is to gather people from Lyon interested in statistics and to present what is done in the different institutions in Lyon. Organizer : Anne-Laure Fougères.
