The Institut Camille Jordan (ICJ) is an Unité Mixte de Recherche (UMR) of CNRS, of Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (UCBL), of Université Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne (UJM), of École Centrale de Lyon (ECL) and of Institut national des sciences appliquées de Lyon (INSA).

The staff is around 170 permanent members (researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers, technicians and administrative assistants) and 90 non-permanent members (postgraduate and postdoctoral students). They are located in several sites of Université de Lyon, mainly on the La Doua Campus. See staff for more information.

ICJ has its own library, which is located in the Braconnier Building, and which is linked with the Service Commun de la Documentation (SCD) of UCBL.

New members are hired each year. For information on recent arrivals and on current and future open positions, see Hiring Information.
