Overview

The Camille Jordan Institute takes part in structures and actions of the mathematical community at different levels.

Local

The Camille Jordan Institute (ICJ) is one of the three research departments (UMR) associated with Labex MILyon; the others are Unité de Mathématiques Pures et Appliquées (UMPA) and Laboratoire de l’Informatique du Parallélisme (LIP).

One of the main actions of MILyon is the Maison des Mathématiques et de l’Informatique; it is located in Lyon, Gerland, and it aims at creating, diffusing and promote scientific culture, in mathematical and computer sciences.

ICJ also has common actions with the Institut de recherche sur l’enseignement des mathématiques de Lyon (IREM Lyon), which is located in the Braconnier building, La Doua Campus.

Regional

ICJ belongs to Fédération de recherche en mathématiques Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne (FRMRAA), with the other research departments in mathematics of Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

National
ICJ is the host of two groupements de service (GDS)

and is part of the portail M4TH.
