Shopping

Close supermarkets are Carrefour Gorbella or Lidl Gorbella. The closest market with fresh fruit, vegetable, fish, ... is (only during mornings) Marché Liberation.

Beach

Nice offers a couple of beaches that you might want to try out (there are no sand beaches, but sand beaches can be found for example in Antibes or Juan-les-Pins). Bring sunscreen.

Hike possibilities on the weekend

Nice offers very good hike excursions to nearby Mercantour national park. Cheap buses (lines 730, 740, 750) leave from the main train station in Nice:
