Model Theory in Bogotá (Summer 2005)


A series of model theory related events will be held in Bogotá (Colombia) during august 2005 (08/10/05-08/19/05):
  • The Colombian Mathematical Congress will run a large logic session spreaded on the whole week (08/08-08/12).
  • From August 15 to August 19, we will have the third version of the Bogotá Model Theory Summer Meeting. Check out the schedule for this week.

People interested in attending the conference should register sending an e-mail to onshuus(at)gmail.com before June 30th/2005.

Programmed activities

Dates Activity
August 8-12Logic talks during the Colombian Mathematical Congress.
August 15Talks the whole day.
August 16Talks during the morning. In the afternoon we leave Bogotá to go to Villa de Leyva. Lunch in a restaurant on the way there.
August 17-18Free working time in Villa de Leyva. Probably a few discussion sessions will be arranged.
August 19We go back to Bogotá. A few talks in the afternoon and closing dinner in the evening.
August 20Conference ends.

  • Hotel Dann Avenida 19: USD $45-55. Modern hotel, comfortable and close to the university of Los Andes too.
  • Hotel Howard Johnson Emaus (http://howardjohnsonemaus.com): USD $65-$130. Nice affordable hotel in a quiet neighborhood. About 20 minutes by taxi or 40 by bus from campus.
  • Other accomodation. Hostels, etc: USD $20-$30. We will locate something for you. There are a few youth hostels and small hotels in La Candelaria.
