ANR project MAS Lyon postdoc announcement

Call for applications

One post-doctoral position is available at the Lyon node of the project MAS – Model theory of Algebraic Structures, funded by the French National Research Agency. More information on the MAS project can be found at

Topics within the scope of project include: definable groups under generalized tameness assumptions; continuous logic and ergodic theory; algebraicity and transcendence in tame fields; groups of finite Morley rank.

Applicants should have a strong background in model theory or in one of the fields adjacent to the project (group theory, field theory, ergodic theory).

The position will be based at the Institut Camille Jordan in Lyon.

The duration of the position is two years. The salary will be around 2400 € net. There are no teaching duties.

The position is expected to start in September or October 2026 but the exact starting date is negotiable.
