How can I get to the summer school from Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport?
The summer school will be held on the Campus La Doua in the building "Bâtiment du Doyen Jean Braconnier".
La Doua is the main campus of the "Université Claude Bernard - Lyon 1" (UCBL) and is located at Villeurbanne,
which is a different city but can be considered as a neighborhood northeast of Lyon since the two sister cities
share the same public transport.
It is easy to come from the airport combining two tramways.
First, take the Rhônexpress Express Tram and stop at "Lyon Part-Dieu".
Do not move from this point, you are at the right place to take now Tramway T4 in the direction "La Doua, Gaston Berger" and stop at "Université Lyon 1", see the violet line in the file.
How can I get to the summer school from Lyon Part-Dieu Railway station?
The summer school will be held on the Campus La Doua in the building "Bâtiment du Doyen Jean Braconnier".

Depending on which side you go out from the rail station, you will find tramway T1 or tramway T4. Both are possible.
Tramway T1 in the direction "IUT-Fessine" and stop at "Université Lyon 1".

What is the difference between tramways T1 and T4?
It can be confusing since both stop at "Université Lyon 1" and Lyon Part-Dieu Railway station.
However T1 is on the west side of Lyon Part-Dieu, called "Gare Part-Dieu Vivier Merle".
Whereas T4 is on the east side of Lyon Part-Dieu, called "Gare Part-Dieu Villette".
To get until the stop at "Université Lyon 1", use Tramway T1 in the direction "IUT-Fessine" or Tramway T4 in the direction "La Doua, Gaston Berger".

How can I get to the résidence Jussieu area? From the rail station "Gare Lyon Part-Dieu" for instance, take tramway T1 (Direction: IUT-Fessine) and stop at "INSA-Einstein". See the violet line in the file. See the map of this area.
When I arrive, where should I go to get my room? Go to the central lodge bâtiment B of the résidence Jussieu
and give your name. See the map. Even during night, it is a 24h/24h lodge!
During the day, a lodge is located at the rez-de-chaussée of the building Einstein. See the map. The phone number of the lodge is +334 78 93 34 21.
Will there be WiFi in the room? Yes. Note also that each evening, from 6pm to 9pm a computer room is open.
Will there be air conditioning / fan? I don't know, it might have some automatic air system.
Do we need to bring pillows/blanket/bed linen and towels or will they be provided?
They will be provided, we took this option for you.
Are there laundry facilities nearby? The laundry is in the building "Althéa". See the map.
The payment is done by card (wash 3.3 euros ; dry 1.1 euros). Ask at the lodge for the card.
Are there any pots/cooking utensils/cutlery? Yes, all cooking supplies are provided in your private kitchenette :)
Is there any common TV room? Yes, it is located in the building "Bâtiment D". See the map. It is reserved to residents.
My mother/uncle/sister/friend is visiting me, will it be possible for him/her to stay in the room with me? No, it is not allowed in theory. We commit ourselves so that participants are most respectful of the rules.
